- Wedding: April 2011
Since WB is eating posts/text I’ll give my “verbal” recap first.
We got married in an old Historic Church in Edna, TX… It was beautiful!.. So much so that I didn’t have to worry about ANY decor for the ceremony *relief*
It was a morning ceremony and the sun came in beautifully through the large windows =)
Our Young Adults pastor, and pastor that both Darling Husband and I serve under, officiated the wedding… off his iPad…. and did a GREAT job!
All of our ceremony music was performed by our friends, and Church Worship leaders, Mike & Kristi…. they learned them out of love for us and did a WONDERFUL job!
Bridesmaid or Best Man processional: “I Will” by the Beatles
Bride processional: “So Are You to Me” by Eastmountainsouth
Worship song: “Love like Fire” Hillsong
Processional: “All You Need is Love”
My favorite part of the entire ceremony was worship. Darling Husband and I decided early on that instead of the unity candle and/or sand ceremony we wanted to take communion as Husband and Wife as our first act of being one. To prepare our hearts we picked out a song that we felt really said how even more than loving each other we wanted to love God and totally give our marriage to Him. It was AMAZING!
Our pastor continued to bless communion and take a moment to tell each of us how proud he was to watch us grow over the last couple of years and really just made it that more personal. =)
OH…. and our guests favorite part was when BOTH Darling Husband and I FORGOT which hand was my RIGHT hand…… totally hilarious!… that and I couldn’t get his ring past his KNUCKLE… eek. (this is the pic you’ll see of me laughing)
So now for pics!
Starting with me waiting.. or hiding rather… beside the Chapel steps before the ceremony started. Didn’t want anyone to see me. tehe
