It sounds to me that you went with a bigger company? Did you know your photographers before the big day? They are right in the since that everything photog is different. Did you see this persons work before you hired them?

This is VERY typical of large studios like this.  Now this makes more sense to me.

I can understand your dissapointment, and having to pay extra certainly isn’t right. I hate to say it, but unfortunatly that is one of the downsides to going to large companies that employ several photographers. The customer service and quality control can be lacking. 🙁

I will say, definitely keep your mind focused on the main issue. In your first post you stated how you were happy with what you got, but just not happy about the few picutres you feel are missed. After hearing their reply (which sucks, BTW) you now have changed your tune and have lots of issues with everything.

I definitely know you’re frustraited and upset, which is valid. I have a feeling they aren’t going to change their tune, and so at this point you just have to decide if it’s worth it to you to pay the extra money and get more shots.

I think maybe you should consider talking to your specific photographer directly and ask him his thoughts on the issue. I’m assuming he’s the one who did the editing/selecting.

I’m so sorry.

I want you to know you’re not alone. I have many photos of the kitchen counters, of bottles, fruit, glasses, but no bridal portrait and no photo of David’s face when I’m walking down the aisle. There is no simple photo of my husband I together, but lots of feet. We asked for photos near a big, old willow tree and she said it was ‘boring’ and wouldn’t take them.

I talked to my Mum-in-law about it and she pointed out that sometimes wedding photos these days are more about the photographer than the people actually getting married. It’s kind of a pity.

The way you were handled was so unsympathetic as well.

I hope you work things out somehow. 🙁
