So the special day is over and done with. I waited very patiently for the pro pics to come back, and i think they’re pretty wonderful. Take a peek!one of the many signs i was working on until the day before. Somewhere there is a lovely pic of my feet covered in spray paint! This was our MASSIVE tent for the reception and in case it rainedof course the only time it DID rain was durring the first look pictures!it’s a little strange to see these lovely first look pics and know the whole darned wedding party was off to the side hooting and what not!the rain WRECKED the train of my lovely lace gown. I went upstairs once and rinsed the mud out. This is me the the husband trying to bustle me up!then i had to go inside and fix my darned shoe before the ceremony. It broke again shortly afterwards and i walked around part of the night with a busted shoe!My mothers long term boyfriend walked me down the “aisle” since my father died when i was quite young. I wore the ring he always wore on his pinky on my right hand that day.You can see one of my bridesmaids here dabbing at her tears. She was crying before we even got down the pathway!the we were off to the tent for the reception!we kept the tables simple, since our colors were so bold we didn’t want the color on the tables for fear of making them kind of garish. Of course looking back i kinda wish there was some color… oh well!we had wonderful food, hand made by many of our guests. I even made my own cakes! The husband having a much needed drink!making it official! Of course it turned out all the signing we needed to do we’d done at the town office days ago when we got the license, so this was all for show!the cake we cut. The wedding topper was his parents when they got married. It originally had an arch of fake flowers over it that we ripped off. I had intended to make my own all along, but it fell beween the cracks of things i needed to get done, so we used this.post cake kiss! Before we cut the cake i did a little dress swap. It was cooler than i expected and i would have stayed in my dress were it not for the rain durring the photos, my dress was wet up to my knees! I swapped out into this ModCloth dress that fit the groomsmen’s vintage lookwe hammed it up for the cameraTook some scary pics with the boys who have a thing for guns. Kudos to my photographer! if i had a nickle for every time i’d turn around and see him on the ground, or climbing something to get a batter angle… or with guns pointed at him for a cool shot… He was amazing, if you’re in the Maine area Samuell Hallett Photography is the way to go!The husbands aunt is a fan of fireworks, so she bought them for our gift for the reception. This pic is funny cause it looks like the husband is shooting them up into the sky from his finger! And a kiss in front of the bonfire was about the end of the night. Perfect night, so much fun! Annnd now for a few detail shots…I made my bouquet, and the card box (which you can’t see the lid i hand painted, bummer) and the chest was our “guest book” for evryone to sign.
I used this site for a lot of inspiration. I can only hope someone finds some in my pictures. I hope you enjoyed them!
