Yesterday, my mom, Future Mother-In-Law and two sisters (co-MOHs) went on our first dress shopping expedition. At the very first store we went to, I chose a dress off the rack I had seen on the store’s website and knew I wanted to try on. As soon as I put it on, I knew I really liked it, but it was the very first dress, so I figured I just liked it a lot because it was the first time I had ever seen myself in a bridal gown. When I went out, everyone LOVED it – but again, I figured it was just because it was the very first dress.
However, as the appointment went on (and especially at our other two appointments), every time I tried a dress on, all we could do was compare it to the first one. Nothing was even close to as good.
Luckily, I tried the first dress on again at the end of my first appointment with a veil and everything (unfortunately, my sister accidentally deleted the photo) and realized how much I did love it. After the following appointments, I’m like 99% confident it’s the one. I plan to go back sometime this week to try it on again and buy! And the best part is that it’s more than $1500 under my $4000 budget!
It’s the Leanne Marshall Janine dress. Forgive my weird face – my sister didn’t get any flattering photos. What do you think? I LOVE the organza skirt, though it’s very different from what I envisioned I would like. I like that the skirt is unique, but the dress is still very classic. I’ve also included the model photo.

annb9: Very pretty! I LOVE the neckline, it’s so delicate and the dress itself is so light and flowy. You look great!

annb9: You should say YES to that dress! Nothing wrong with it being the first one. When you know, you know. Looks beautiful on you. 🙂

annb9: I agree with bkprettygirl: it looks better on you than the model. 🙂 My sister also chose the first dress she tried on. We went to one store, and I pulled a dress that I thought would look stunning on her (it wasn’t her typical style) and when she tried it on, we were all in awe. She tried on 3 more dresses before coming to the conclusion that no other dress would compare to the first one. She said yes to the dress that day and it couldn’t have been more beautiful at her wedding. Hope this helps!
