So I’ve been on WW for a little over a month and a half and I’m finally losing weight and keeping it off. Fiance and I have been walking all the time (minus last week and this weekend cause I’ve been sick). Anyway, I’m seeing a difference in my face, stomach and legs. But that’s not my main problem area. It’s my arms! I hate them and I’m so uncomfortable with them I can’t wear sleeveless shirts or even shirts with sleeves that are too short.
What I’m trying to ask is… what exercises/workouts have you bees done to help tone the arms? I’ve been looking around on Pinterest but wanted to know all of your opinions. Thanks so much!

@omglauren: I gave this a try, it doesn’t seem like much but it’s work!

Push ups. When I started doing them 2 years ago I could barely do 1. I gradually worked my way up and now I do 20-25 every day and it’s the only thing that has helped my arms look toned.

@mchitt329: i love that this doesn’t require anything but a bench and some weights. i’m going to try these for sure. thanks for the recommendation!
@MrsBot: that’s awesome that you’re doing that many pushups now! i’m like you when you started. i can only do 1 or 2 pushups but i will definitely do this. thanks!

Weights. Weights weights weights weights weights. Don’t be afraid to get heavier and heavier dumbbells as you get stronger, it takes a lot for most women to bulk up. I never saw much in terms of weightloss results in general, but definitely in arm fat, until I started using weights in my workouts.

pushups, pullups and dips.

If you want to get rid of fat, cardio. I would do a bootcamp-type workout, that way you get your cardio plus an overall body workout within an hour.

Definitely weights. Even light weights with 3 sets of 12 reps each – biceps, triceps, chest and shoulders. Do them for about 2 months and you should see results.

I agree with other gals: cardio and push-ups 🙂

@omglauren: Weights, weights, weights and cardio, cardio, cardio! I would specifically suggest pull ups, dips, bicep curls, and pretty much any tricep exercise there is. Lifting weights is awesome, but if you wanna see the muscle you are creating, do cardio to get rid of any extra “love” that may be on top of them 🙂 good luck

Yep, cardio to decrease body fat and push ups are great! You can also do pushup variations- tricep pushups, walking pushups, etc (google them for videos).

@Diamondgurl: +1 – cardio. You have more weight to lose – you can’t just spot-shrink your arms.
