I am in love with my engagement ring! But I picked a ring with an invisible setting before I knew how hard they are to fix and now I’m having nothing but problems with it. The center is 4 princess cut diamonds made to look like 1 bigger diamond but 1 of the stones shifted & now there is a big gap around 1 of the diamonds. I’ve sent it away 3 times and each time it comes back looking worse and worse. I don’t know if I should ask for a new ring with the same setting or keep my original ring & ask them to set it differently? Has anyone had problems with invisible settings? I’m so upset because I love my ring and I don’t want to send it away again. :'(

Aww, that sucks. 🙁
If you have sent it three times, it might be worth asking for a replacement.

I’m sorry to hear that. That does suck, especially that they send it back to you even though it’s visibly worse. Definitely speak to them. They should be able to understand that it is not reasonable for this to keep happening. Maybe they can ensure it is actually fixed once and for all or let you exchange the ring. I hope other bees can weigh in too about their experiences with similar rings. I have a RHR like that – it looks like a princess cut trilogy but each “stone” is in fact made of smaller stones. I’ve had it for many years and never had issues with it, though the little stones don’t all face up at precisely the same angle if you look really, really closely. Might be due to the quality of the ring, though.
