@HVbride:  I would double check with the store that your registry is properly password protected and that there isn’t someone else with a similar name that has gained access to your registry.

If there is a chance someone else is using it, discuss with them if you can create a new one with your items on it so this problem stops.

We haven’t had any problems with our Target registry, outside of Target getting rid of their Target Home line and replacing it with Threshold.

Since they were purchased, I’m going to assume that someone either purchased something off of your registry AND those items. It’s happened before, though I can’t remember if that was at Target. Things you DID register for have been purchased, correct?

@Elky:  This wouldn’t happen–you log in with your email address and password, so unless someone had both of those from the OP, that wouldn’t make any sense.

I don’t know about Target specifically, but at other stores if you buy something off someone’s registry, along with other items for yourself, those will often show up as being bought off your registry.  If you don’t think that’s what has happened here, I’d call target and ask about it.

We had a little trouble the day that we went it and did our registry.  We would shoot something with the gun and something totally different would be added to the registry.  I didn’t notice a couple of the items that were added until I got a call from my Mom and she asked me why we registered for 2 high dollar breast pumps!!!  Lets just say they were removed as soon as I got home!!

@vorpalette:  Consultants can override and reset passwords so if someone came in with the same name or mistyped name it might have happened in store?

Your explination of bought at the same time makes more sense though 🙂

@Elky:  Not at Target, they can’t. They take you to the kiosk and show you how to access the Target website to set it up. You cannot login to your Target registry with just your name, you MUST have the email address the registry is under, and only you can reset the password. If you need to contact their customer service for the registry, they ask you for the address that’s on the account and the email address that your account is registered under.
