- Wedding: December 2016
I have triplet 4-year-old nieces that I am having in my wedding. One is going to be my traditions flower girl, tossing petals. The other two are going to hold one of those “Here comes the bride signs”.
What order should they walk down the aisle? I know that generally the flower girl goes right before the bride so that the bride is the only one walking on the flowers, but I didn’t think sending the sign down first and then having the flower girl go made much sense either. I was thinking about sending the sign first then flowers, but generally within a few steps of each other so they seemed more grouped. Thoughts? Has anyone had both? How did you do it?
And yes, I know most people dislike those “Here comes the bride” signs, that not everyone has to be in the wedding party, and that kids need to be told no. I’m pretty laid back about my wedding and the kids were really excited to be in it. I care more about them having fun than I do about a sign or what is traditional, so I made it work.
