- Wedding: July 2012
Ok, so I’m trying to put together my processional order for our wedding and I keep coming up with a few questions.
1. Are readers a part of the procession? If not, how do they get up there for when they need to read? I always thought they were already up there sitting behind the podium.
2. We are having our ushers light the alter candles and roll out the aisle runner before any grandparents/parents are seated, should we have a special song for this or just try to squeeze this into the processional song(s)?
As of now, what I have is
*Processional Music Starts*
FI’s grandmother, escorted by 2 groomsmen who will proceed to the front
My grandmother, escorted by other groomsman who will proceed to the front
MOB, escorted by Usher
MOB/MOG go light a candle
Best Man (FI’s 7 year old brother) (sits in front row with parents)
Maid/Matron of Honor3 (walks solo down aisle, meets groomsman 3 at front and proceeds to alter)
Maid/Matron of Honor2 (walks solo down aisle, meets groomsman 2 at front and proceeds to alter)
Maid/Matron of Honor1 (walks solo down aisle, meets groomsman 1 at front and proceeds to alter)
Me and FOB
So do I add in the readers to walk down towards the beginning of the procession?
Also, do I start the first music when the ushers are lighting the candles?
What did your procession order/situation look like?
