My Bridal Processional is Eastmountainsouth “So Are You to Me” a song that I just fell in love with BUT it’s too long.
It’s right under 2 minutes and my aisle is 45′ long… I’m not real sure what to do considering I love the beginning AND the end and well yea it’s too long.
ANY suggestions?…. editing the song maybe… how to?

I would talk to the person doing the music for you. Our songs were too long also and the DJ just turned down the volume as the last person reached the stopping point.

Yea we’re doing the ceremon music ourselves and really like both the beginning and the end… I’ve been into DJing and stuff so I’m kinda wondering if there’s a way I can actually edit the song.. hmmmmm

Well I’m sure with the right equipment you can edit the song I just would be sure to have enough music to make sure you have plenty of time to get down the asile. Even though you are doing the music yourselves you could assign a friend or relative to cue the music and fade it.
Honeslty I walked down the asile to Yellow by Coldplay by Vitamin String Quartet and I wanted to play the first and last parts and when it came down to it, I couldn’t even tell you if the DJ played the song or not. I was to busy looking at all our guests and my husband that I didn’t hear the music.

Oh I love your “honestly..” that i’m sure will be true for me too so I shouldn’t get too caught up in it. =)

Go to cnet downloads. Look for audio cutter and joiner. It is pretty easier to figure out once you play around with it a few minutes. You may have to also download a converter if the song file isn’t already in mp3, but you’ll see what i mean if you download the cutter. It just takes some practice and trial and error, but you can cut songs and rejoin them if that would help.
I did that for our unity candle song. I really wanted my two favorite hymns played, but I knew we didn’t have time for both. So i found two gorgeous piano versions of each, and then just took sections of each one and combined them. It’s pretty! If you need any help just message me!
