A friend is playing acoustic guitar for my ceremony. We’ve actually choosen to not have any instrumental music….just beautiful songs we love played in an acoustic way. Some songs will be the original arrangements and for some it will be my friend’s own arrangements.

For pre-ceremony music he is playing:

Jason Mraz  – “I’m Yours” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkHTsc9PU2A&ob=av2e

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs – “Hysteric” (Acoustic) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93B2mSx6jjg

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs – “Maps” (Acoustic) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJf2FQDl8Ig

Tanya Donelly – “Keeping You” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsB6ZXnKu2Y

Smashing Pumpkins – “Tonight, Tonight” (Acoustic) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOG3eus4ZSo&ob=av2e

Ceremony:

Bridesmaids’ walk: Acoustic “Stand by Me” – no vocals, just humming  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sShnBb419dc

Bride’s walk: Acoustic “Isn’t She Lovely” – no vocals, just humming  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDlsT-TKwFA

I’m a wedding musician and my string trio actually played “a thousand years” for a bride’s processional a few weeks ago! It was amazing!!  I don’t know if its in your budget but you could hire a string group to play it for you instrumentally.

@babeandbabe:   Thanks! I have been having trouble finding the right processional song as well. I like the thousand years song but it came from twilight the movie so Fiance said no haha. I dont want to the traditional wedding marsh either!
