So, i posted last week with some pics of a professional hair and makeup vs a DIY trial, but the camera quality was different. You guys weren’t 100% sure because it was hard to give an honest opinion because the lighting and camera were so different. Now that i have had a chance to have some pictures taken with the same camera i am posting again for some opinions.
Let me know which trial you guys like better. The one on the left is the professional trial (peach/brown colours) and the one right is my DIY trial (purples & greys)
(the professional trial was taken immediately after the makeup was done. The DIY trial was taken after 2 hoursoutside in very hot weather so i am a bit more red)

I should also mention that i will be going with the professional hair for sure, i just wasnt too sure about the makeup. Here are some closeups
This is what the hair will look like

I voted DIY before and I’m sticking to it! Honestly, I don’t like the peaches that she used on you, but it’s not just the colours, I prefer the eye makeup that you did yourself. It defines the crease without going too high….in the professional trial the peach extended too high up to your brow bone. I also like your highlight better.
You’ve got skills, lady! 🙂

Indoor wedding I like DIY better. Outdoor I like professional. Tough call….

I agree with PP, I like your DIY better than pro. The colors you used are much more complementary I think.

If it helps all of our formal pictures will be taken indoors. The weather in Canada toward the end of November is very unpredictable. There is also a major time difference in the outdoor picture times. The professional pics were taken at 6:30pm and the DIy trial was taken at 2:00pm so the lighting is a lot more harsh in the DIY photos…..

I voted DIY because I think you look great in both and dont think there is enough difference to pay a prof. I wouldnt be able to tell which was which if you hadnt posted them side by side

I also think the DIY looks better. I think the professional almost looks like you have a bruised eye.

DIY for sure. Mainly because the color of shadow that she used on you is just not right.

I like the professional better except I would use the DIY eye shadow colors instead of what the pro used.

I don’t think there’s much in it although I do think in the professional photos, your eyes always look bigger … otherwise I think you’ve done a good job yourself.

I think your DIY looks more natural. Good job!

Your DIY looks way better. The colors compliment your skin better and your eyes pop. Will you come do my makeup? 🙂

I didn’t read all the posts but since it is your wedding day and YOU will be the center of attention for a good 12-18 hours go with the pro make-up. They know how to make it last. You should not have to worry about re-applying all day AND you are the bride and DESERVE to be pampered on your day.
If its how it looks than show your make-up artist and they can make the adjustments.
