How long did it take for you to get yor professional wedding photos? Our wedding was on March 2 and we haven’t seen anything. We inquired about them on April 4, and was told it could take up to 2 months. This was not even mentioned in our meetings or in the contract. Saturday is 8 weeks since the wedding and I am beginning to think I will never see pics. I know she is headed to Florida for a week next week for her vacation, so needless to say I am a little irritated. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since it took 6 weeks to get our engagement photos.

We were told in our initial meeting that we would receive “teasers” 7-14 days after our wedding, and would receive our photos 1-2 months after the event. I don’t think there is anything wrong with following up in the next week or so, and maybe even asking for a date that you could expect them by?

We got coouple of teasers back within a week and didn’t get all of them back until 8 weeks. We waited 3 months on our wedding video…..I feel ya…….waiting was painful!

@dabellabell: 2 months is average. Generally it’s 1-3 months. It also depends on if you hired a pro or someone who does photography on the side, etc.

We got ours fast – less than a month- but there was virtually no color correction done on them. (I would have rather waited a few months and received color-corrected and cropped pictures.)

We were told within 6 weeks. We got them on a digital site (that was view-only, so we couldn’t take them and post anywhere else) literally the day before the 6 weeks was up. About a week later we received a flash drive with everything on it.

Our photog says “teasers” 1-2 weeks after the event, perhaps 1-3 photos the next day, but then 1-2 months after the wedding we’d start to get our professional pictures in. However, our engagement pictures were suppose to be 2-3 weeks, and we got them in a little less than 2 weeks (like 1 week 5 days). Waiting is going to be the pits.

Ours took about 90 days to get back. We got them right before Christmas.

It should say in your contract, but most photographers give themselves 90 days to turn around. Depending on their season (and line of work-if they do Senior photos) they could be swamped right now…

We got our photosm just over 8 weeks. Then got a notification that our photography is no longer accepting bookings. She is basically closing shop. We were going through our wedding binder, and our initial meeting with her, she stated that we would have a veiwable online photo gallery in 4 weeks, we would get additionally edited photos and receive all photos on a disc.
Well, 8 weeks later I got a photo disc with 473 pictures. And my photographer no longer doing bookings. Good thing I have friends with skills and photoshop. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy with her photos. I am not happy with her follow through. If she wouldn’t be shutting down her business I would yelp. But, there really isn’t a point now.
