I am a member on this site so that I can post my thoughts, opinions and FEELINGS about certain wedding related topics. I do NOT appreciate it when the “professionals” take over and make mean or snide comments! My posts are just my feelings and thoughts. Don’t take it personally! Just because you work in such and such business does not make it cool for you to put down my comments or call it vomit worthy… yikes.. sooo glad you are not my vendor!!

I so feel you. I was having a minor vent about a bridesmaid being overly helpful when it came to the dresses, to the point it was stressing me. I posted a link to my BM’s dress, and instead of talking about my Bridesmaid or Best Man, someone started giving me opinions on my dress, which I did not ask for. And then would not stop nitpicking about a mistaken price I had for a David’s Bridal dress, because she was a former dress consultant, and even tried to tell me to find another shop, after every crappy experience I’ve already had with them. Even previous vendors can be a pain in the ass, especially when their opinions are completely uncalled for.

@sn2bmrsmntgmry: I read through the thread that most likely caused this post. The “vomit” comment wasn’t very nice, and I made a comment about it in the original thread.
I do not agree that all the professionals should be lumped into one group. Most of the professionals on this site are very knowledgeable and I appreciate their input. I might not always agree with their opinion on certain things, but I take it for its worth – an opinion.

A while back, the members of the hive, vendors on the hive, and site administration collaborated to establish a policy for vendors who are members of the hive. We value all members of the hive for their input and insight but understand that it’s a little more tricky for vendors to navigate the boards — hence, the need for a set of guidelines.
These guidelines can be found at the bottom of our Commenting Policy:
That said, if you see violations of any of the site’s policies around the hive — whether from a member or a vendor — please feel free to flag it so the moderation team can review. Thanks! 🙂
