Hey, so I’m in my final semester of school (graduating in May). My classes are all going well except I’m taking this one random Art class online to fill some GE requirement. School started middle of January and it’s now early March. To date we have had 10 assignments and she’s only graded one – the introduction forum where we introduce ourselves. That leaves the other 9 ungraded. About a month and a half ago she sent out an apolgetic email saying she was sorry and that our grades would be up soon, but nothing came of that. Last Monday (7 days ago) she sent out another apolgetic email and assured us our grades would be up by that night. Well, now it’s the following Monday and still nothing. She did say her “life was spinning out of control” in last Monday’s email. I get that life happens but we are a week away of being midway through the semester and the credit/no credit deadline is next week. For those that don’t know what that is, my school (and I’m assuming others) gives you the option of changing one non-major class a semester to credit/no credit. If you pass with a C- or above you get “credit” for the class but no letter grade (doesn’t affect GPA at all) and if you get less than a C- you get “no credit’.
Most semesters I usually pick a class to change to credit/no credit – I always get credit but it’s nice to know that you don’t have to try as hard because it won’t affect your GPA so I pick the class I’m doing the “worse” in and make that credit. However, I am doing really well in all my classes but I have no idea how I’m doing in this one because nothing has been graded. What do I do? I think I’m a pretty reasonable person and haven’t said anything about grades not being up, but we’re now almost mid-way through the semester and this deadline is coming up. I don’t think emailing her will do any good because she’s now sent out two emails promising that our grades would be up but still nothing. Any advice is appreciated because I would hate to change this class to credit/no credit if in fact I actually have an A. Thanks for any advice.
