Ok, so my title is a little intense but I am pretty upset. My mom LOVES flowers/gardening etc so I made sure to order flowers a month in advance, and got her the premium package with a pretty basket and chocolates for Mother’s Day. I even had it delivered for today so it wouldn’t get lost in all the saturday/sunday mother’s day deliveries and to make sure it got there on time.
Well it did, but it was the totally wrong flower!! My mom thanked me for it but complained about the prickly stems. I was confused because I sent her calla lillies, which don’t have prickly stems. Either way, I had her send me a picture to see how it looked and it was MINI ROSES instead! So upset.
Most people like roses but I spent a long time searching for something special to send my mom, that was UNIQUE. I wanted it to be potted so it would last longer. And I’m just sad that it was the wrong thing. I’m even more suprised because proflowers doens’t outsource to local shops, they have their own warehouse.
I called customer service and after 20 minutes they said I could get credit (NO THANKS, not using this again) or a replacement but that it wouldn’t get there til Tuesday. I picked the replacement bc I didn’t want to stay on the phone longer for a refund.
I hope it’s right this time! The lady was nice but she kept asking me what I had ordered, I mean don’t they see that on their screen? Asking if I had a special basked and anything else…I got the new confirmation and it has the correct order but the description detail says standard basket. I’m not going to bother checking on it because it’s tiring and should be unnecessary.
I’ve used proflowers in the past before successfully so I’m just bummed. I also sent flowers to my SIL for today, hopefully those are correct bc I sent her her favorite flower in particular so anything else won’t have the same effect.
Thanks for listening to my rant bees. Anyone else have bad experiences ordering flowers online?

Oh no!! I’m so sorry that happened to you! I’m usually SO happy with Pro Flowers =( I haven’t had any bad experiences personally, but I’m sure your mom will be thrilled to receive flowers on Tuesday too!

I used them for mother’s day this year and my mom and Mother-In-Law got exactly what I ordered. I’m sorry you had a bad experience!

SO used that service too, and they delivered my roses A DAY LATE!! yep, pretty much bad service

Thank you bees!
And diamondsashadiamonds, sorry that happened to you! I can understand worrying about it if I bought them two days in advance, but with purchases over a week before they are to be shipped, they should be able to get the products out in time!

Brideonabudgetlauren – Thank you and yes, I’m looking forward to the Tuesday ones. Today is my dad’s birthday so perhaps I should tell him the roses are for him haha.
I’m glad my mom will have two bunches of flowers 🙂

Bummer! I’ve also had negative experiences with ProFlowers. Not quite like yours, but they always come looking so wilted and dead =(.

ProFlowers is a terrible business. One of the deliveries did make it, but two were never even processed. Money was charged, but the orders disappeared into thin air apparently. :/ I’d rather go to a grocery store and buy flowers from there, to be honest.

Pro Flowers has messed up SO MANY TIMES for my Fiance when sending flowers to me and his mom. It’s never good!

Mokara That is horrible!! I honestly like grocery store flowers, I only use online services for long distance deliveries.
Also, I have an update on the flowers for my SIL – Now I am just mad.
I got a “picked up for shipping” email for my mom’s flowers, but not my SIL so I waited a few days and checked the tracking on proflowers.com. There was a tracking number but it did not show up on FedEx’s website so I emailed proflowers asking them to please let me know if the flowers had been shipped. They replied by saying We have researched your order, and the tracking information indicates that order number
is going to be delivered Friday May 10th, 2013 by the end of the day.”
This didn’t really satisfy me because they didn’t answer my question – HAS IT BEEN SHIPPED. But then I “tracked” it again and it said it was in Sacramento on 5/9 and my SIL is in San Francisco so I thought ok, maybe it will get there.
They sent me that email at 5AM this morning. And I just get an email that We’re sorry to inform you that the Lilies for Mom from your order did not ship as originally scheduled.
SERIOUSLY??? What the hell. At least it says that it is supposed to get there tomorrow, I am SO glad that I ordered them for a few days before Mother’s Day. My SIL is pregnant with her first child and I would be even more disturbed if they weren’t going to arrive until after mother’s day.
Literally will never be using proflowers again. Has anyone had better luck with 1800flowers?
