hopeful31:  8.5 could be a perfectly normal number depending on how many days past ovulation you were when the test was done. Are you tracking your cycle with OPKs, charting your temps? If you ovulated later in your cycle, CD22 could be just a couple of days after ovulation. For what is worth I have great natural progesterone levels and I still miscarried 7 times, there are many reasons for miscarriages besides progesterone levels and unfortunately in many cases you can’t never find a reason. Wishing you all the best and hoping you get your sticky BFP very soon!

I was having trouble conceiving and one of the first tests my doctor wanted to do was a progesterone test at 7dpo. She said they were looking for a number over 10, so when mine came back at 8.2, I was surprised that she didn’t want to put me on progesterone supplements right away. She said it wasn’t low enough to be concerned. I ended up getting a bfp 3 days later at 10dpo. I called her office and she put me on progesterone suppositories that day (she suggested, I didn’t have to ask). I don’t really know if she was seriously concerned or if it was just a precaution but it made me feel better! So mine was almost exactly the same as your level and it didn’t hinder me getting pregnant – I actually was pregnant at the time and didn’t know it yet!  So you absolutely still could be pregnant. If you do get pregnant this cycle, I would at least push for another progesterone test to make sure the level is rising like it should be.  About a week after being on supplements, my level was 30-something, and a few weeks later was still 20- something. I’m now 14 weeks into a healthy pregnancy. Good luck!

hopeful31:  Yep, I would ask for a progesterone test the day you get a bfp and then maybe a week or two later to make sure it’s high enough.  That’s what I would do anyway.
