We’re getting married in Kansas in September. If you’re familiar with the midwest it could be a lovely fall day or it could be hot as he//! I really love the idea of program fans but it was brought to my attention that the men attending the wedding may not be a fan of fans. Anyone that had program fans or encountered them at a wedding noticed this issue? Should we print fans and non-fan programs? Ugh! I thought I had this all figured out and then someone goes and makes me second guess my choices! Help me bees! Thanks!

if it’s hot as he!! then people are going to use the program to fan themselves anyway! might as well make fans if you want them 😉

@mollyib: I’ve never heard of program fans being “problematic” for men before. Although, I do know that the majority of men do not care to look at programs. We had program fans and they served two great purposes during our July wedding in St.L (informative and cooling)!

I would just have program fans; they don’t have to use them as fans if they don’t want to!

did you DIY those or have them made?

I had them made by a vendor through Etsy. 100 programs with 3 petals and the ribbon were about $125. I’m sure they’d be easy to DIY, but I didn’t want to have to cut all of them out. The vendor’s name is scrappinginnovations. (The only thing I’d doublecheck on is the thickness of the paper you use, or they flop over).

I’m making paddle fans… they aren’t as feminine, so men wont feel weird using them.
wont be these colors, but it will be this style, probably wont even say yay or congrats etc… I will probably just say on it “all you need is Love” something very simple.
