(Closed) Program Wording!

@Brideonabudgetlauren:  My FI’s stepfather (bio father is unknown) is deceased so we are listing my parents as “parents of the bride” and names then “mother of the groom” and her name and then under the Remembrance section listing FI’s stepfather to honor his memory as well as other very close relatives of ours that are deceased. I would say its up to you as to list “step parents of the bride” Etc depending on how close you are, etc but I’m sure they would cherish being included in the program.

I’ve seen it done both ways–the parent honored in a separate section as FutureMRsBG mentioned, or the parent listed as “the late John Doe.” I’m not aware of any specific etiquette regarding this (although another bee might be more enlightened!); to me, it seems like a personal decision.
