Do we honestly have to have programs?  I’m just curious because I wasn’t planning on having any.

@Rouquine:  I’m not having them either.  Course I’m having a small wedding and my wedding party is just my Maid/Matron of Honor and his Best Man.

Don’t stress.  My wedding is at the end of the month I am not planning on doing my programs until the week before.  Something may happen to one of your guests of honor, something may change in your timeline, ect.

I am DIYing mine.  I bought red cardstock for the covers and used a stamp that I bought but hadn’t used anywhere else (and was happy to use!) on the cover.  For the inside cover I printed our names, wedding date and location on Vellum, I will be glueing a picture of us that you will be able to see through the vellum.  The inner pages will just be printed on plain, boring printer paper the week before.  I think they look great and will be super easy to assemble the week before.   (I probably spend about $75 on mine, but printing out all the pics cost around $50)

Google wedding programs and you should find some great ideas as well.

@Oh Ya:  Have you checked on Etsy?  I had my invitations done there and I got them really quickly.  Do you know what kind of style you want?

I did mine the week of my wedding and printed two days before! I did them on Word and had them printed at Staples on really nice paper. It was a cream pearlized color. It cost like $30 for 70. I figured each couple would just take one.

I then went to Michaels and bought cute stickers that were a bit raised not flat that said “I do”. They were in the scrapbook section. I put them on the title page up top. They matched perfectly since the stickers were a little sparkly too.

@nursemel:  Yeah, I think that’s why I’m not really caring to have them.

@Rouquine:  You don’t have to have them.  I’m planning to do something else verus having a traditional program.  I’ve got a little something in the works 😉

I am making program pamphets (which is about 8 pages long- it is a fun step by step program on our wedding). I started them last month but won’t get serious about them until like September. Ain’t no telling what can change as we get closer to the wedding. Also, there are so many cheap ways to make a program. Look at this site under DIY and you will find a ton of cheap programs idea and even a few Bee’s who will share the template with you.

I’m not having any! I’m DIY-ing menus and photo tags and chalk boards for the entry to the venue.

I had started doing programs a few months ago but I didn’t feel like dealing with them really so I just axed the project completely.  There’s nothing “special” about our ceremony and honestly, I’ve never been to a wedding with programs.  So I’m not doing them.  One less thing to worry about.

You should try looking in the DIY section of weddingbee, they have a lot of ideas. Also, you still have a lot of time to complete the programs.
