Ok we have 7 days to go! We have everything done except programs.
What do you guys think of using a large chalkboard and just writing out the program details on it?
Our ceremony is simple and quick.
Our wedding is laid back and in a garden. Our guests will be seated at their tables during the ceremony.
I thought this would be a cute extra instead of not doing programs at all.
It would be like this, but with the program details

I think that’s a really cute idea. Just make sure to take pictures of it so you can “keep a copy.”

I think they are fabulous! I just made a post on my facebook page about using “Chalkboards” as part of your wedding decor! There are awesome photos that I found on Project Wedding that could give you some more inspirations as well.
But I agree with you that it would be cute instead of not having programs at all for your family, friends, and guests to take a look at. Let me know if you see the pictures…if not then I will try and resend the link to you.

My girlfriend did that at her wedding! her wedding planner came up with it sicne they didnt have a whole lot of time for programs with her 2.5 month engagement. her planner made the chalkboard and she handwrote all the info on it. so cute!

Thanks for the input and pictures. I found an awesome framed corkboard at homegoods that I am painting chalkboard tonight.
I found a stand for it there too.
The prices there always make me happy…the board was $30 and the huge, metal easel was only$25
I’ll upload some pictures after I paint

Love it. We’re doing something similar, but using posterboard in a large picture frame.
