A few weeks ago I posted that I was worried that SO wasn’t saving for my ring. I realized I was being silly and stopped worrying about it. Then he asked me to write him a Christmas list. I couldn’t think of anything so I wrote down silly things like “more kisses” and “more ‘us’ time”. At the bottom I wrote that there’s only one thing that I want from him so I’d rather we keep Christmas small and save to buy what I really want later. He completely agreed to this idea. Later on, I asked what to get his parents and he started talking about how I shouldn’t spend too much and how he was spending a lot less then he was expecting to on Christmas this year. He said that it was an odd feeling because he’s used to spending money that he really doesn’t have but how it’s a good thing because he has bills to pay and is saving up to buy me something!!! Then we were talking about some of the bigger gifts we’d like if we had unlimited money. We both want a big stand mixer (we like to cook) and I’d like a Dyson vacuum but we can’t afford them right now. I said “maybe when we win the lottery”. He said “we’ll just put them on our registry”!
He’s finally thinking like I’m thinking!!!! I’m still staying quiet about everything but I’m very glad he’s bringing it up more. It’s nice to know we’re on the same page
