- Wedding: August 2013
Mine isn’t very exciting but I know I am behind. I like to come here – listen to all of your progress reports so I know exactly how behind I am. I do often forget to mention that I was engaged on Dec 31st/Jan 1st (NYE) of this year….but 150 days is 150 days. Eck. Here goes nothing……
Operation – 200+ of our closest friends and family at a hayfield Shin-dig.
Dress: Picked and Paid for. Waiting for it to arrive at shop. (I just bought my ribbon and about to buy applique to DIY my own sash!)
B-maids Dresses: Bought, tried on, 4 of 5 all set – have to exchange one.
Flowers: Decided – paid deposit (Boutonnieres are DIY and they are done)
Photographer: Decided – paid deposit – organized Egage Session date
Officiant: Booked all set – no counseling? Weird
Catering: Shopped – waiting for a price quote. (Internally = AAAGGGGHHHH!!!)
Cake: A friend is making a naked cake and I have the pans and tier materials on the way from amazon.
Groom and Groomsmen attire: He wants to wear JEANS. Yes, I’m serious. “because it’s casual” me? NOPE. But the tux places don’t have all khaki, don’t give discounts for just pants and vest and are not even helpful in showing me what they DO have. Jerks. Went looking at the mall last night with him. (Internally = AAAGGGGHHHH!!!)
Wedding rings: we have ideas – his jeweler has some things on order to show us. (And she has my ring to resize right now! eep!) I have things on Etsy I want to show him. lol
Venue: Both ceremony and reception are at his parent’s farm. No Cost. All set. Need sunshine to go see it in person again. (His dad to arrange electrcity and parking logistics)
Wedding Paper: Save-the-dates – sent. Invite materials are bought and sitting on my kitchen table. No idea on design because I hate everything I come up with. But the guest list is rounding up quite nicely (this is a plus of doing save-the-dates)
Decor: I have probably enough stuff for 21 tables right now (will prob have 30). Nothing for ceremony and nothing for the reception area. (I realllllllllllly want about 700 hundred *extra* dollars to throw away on globe lights…please?)
Table/chair/portaJ rental: Shopping
Tent Rental: Free – his dad is arranging via ‘connections’
Linen/Dinnerware: smartyhadaparty.com – just waiting to click buy….
DJ/MC/Speakers/Music/Entertainment: Nothing (Internally = wah.)
Bartender: Decided – she gives me numbers on thursday (See next)
Hair/Make-up: Decided – appt. for thursday to go over ideas and arrange day schedule, prices and coordination of alcohal…(I live in a very small town 🙂
Favors: (Jam in cute jars) Priced jars today – asking my canning fanatic mother if she has other wholesale ideas up her sleeve…waiting.
Parties: I got a round about date timeline for one shower and the girls bach party… Well, and I did begrudgingly register at two places. But I am afraid its not enough and I hate doing it so much!
I think is all I have so far. I think once I have catering and table rental figured out I can work on the DJ and then all big stuff should be ok. Then it will be decor and DIY for the rest of the summer.
Am I forgetting anything big? What does you list look like in comparison to this?
