Moon River is great and we do sort of have a story with it, so it might work. Still have to see what he says. If we pick a version like this one it would definitely make a nice waltz, problem is it’s just a little slow:

Operation – Roughly 200 people

Dress: Purchased! I still need alterations and my undergarments

B-maids Dresses: 6/7 have been purchased. There’s always that ONE that drags their feet. *GRRR*

Flowers: Picked out. CANT WAIT!!!

Photographer: Deposit paid, contract signed. Ready to gooo!!

Officiant: Booked!

Catering: Just went over final menu last week and put deposit down!

Cake: Done. πŸ™‚ Deposit down. 

Groom and Groomsmen attire:Just went and picked out tuxes this weekend. Fiance & our son’s are paid for. The Groomsmen have until June 15th to go get fitted.

Wedding rings: Done!

Venue:Booked! for the 10th of August!

Wedding Paper: Done.

Decor: About 50% done with my DIY projects.

Table/chair/portaJ rental: Provided by venue.

Tent Rental: Deposit paid for 3 large tents.

Linen/Dinnerware: Done; deposit paid.

DJ/MC/Speakers/Music/Entertainment: Booked!

Bartender: Still shopping around.

Hair/Make-up: hair trial is in july….

Favors: DONE!

Parties: Bridal shower is July 13th; bachelorette party is August 3rd.

We have two favors. One of them are the program fans. Not really a favor, but they can take it home with them πŸ˜‰ The other is a burlap sack (for lack of a better term) filled with goodies. I’ve attached a pic for you to see πŸ™‚

well hello fellow August brides!! Here’s my rundown:

Dress: Bought and sitting pretty in it’s bag at my grandma’s.  Alterations (if any will be done by my stepmother in the beginning of June)

B-maids Dresses/shoes: Dresses & shoes are all bought, just need jewelry  :-/

Flowers: All DIY silk flowers. Brooch bouquets are all done, just need to finish bouts, corsages, and toss bouquet.

Photographer: Check!

Officiant: He’s awesome! We’re finishing up out counseling sessions soon and he even told us that he’s taking care of the rehearsal at the church!

Catering/Dinnerwaire: Catering…Dad & stepmama got that! Dinnerware provided by the ladies auxiliary at out rception hall.

Cake: Picked out and quoted, no deposit yet.

Groom and Groomsmen attire: beginning of June…dont have the brain-space to deal with them yet.

Wedding rings: Bought!

Venue: All good to go, just need to pay final payment in Aug.

Wedding Paper: STD’s & Invites sent. Already getting rsvp’s back (they have until july 20th)

Decor: 75 percent done

Linen: Ladies aux. at the hall.

DJ/MC/Speakers/Music/Entertainment: Being arranged by my fiance’

Bartender: Came with the hall rental.

Hair/Make-up: Hair trial soon! (may 25th!)

Favors:  Done!

Parties: ???  

Transportation: Limo…still needs to be booked  πŸ™

Hotel: Booked!!

Honeymoon: We leave the day after the wedding for the Bahamas!! (just hope our passports are ready in time…aaahhh)

Gifts: 50 percent bought

My fiance booked his time off work and we booked our honeymoon. I am getting so excited and so is he!

Dress: Bought and have a fitting on Saturday for alterations (bought higher shoes and the hem may change)

B-maids Dresses/shoes: Dresses are all bought. Need jewelry and shoes

Flowers: Ordered and deposit paid

Photographer: Arranged

Officiant: A friend– we are getting together next month to plan

Catering/Dinnerwaire: Included with venue

Cake: Going to do pies instead

Groom and Groomsmen attire: The men and Future Mother-In-Law are fully in charge of this

Wedding rings: Narrowing it down to diamond or non-diamond

Venue: Going on Saturday for a tasting πŸ™‚

Wedding Paper: STD’s sent awhile ago, Invitations are formatted and Fiance started printing them out

Decor: Pretty much figured out. Most of it is flowers for day of, and I need to find ribbons for the candleholders

Linen: Comes with the venue

DJ/MC/Speakers/Music/Entertainment: Done

Bartender: Comes with the venue

Hair/Make-up: Will make appointment soon

Favors: The truffles are in the freezer and all I will need to do is track down organza bags

Parties: Bridemaids and groomsmen are in charge

Transportation: Not needed

Hotel: Booked

Honeymoon: We leave 6 days after our wedding for a week in Cuba!! The wedding is on Saturday then we have those days to wind down, get to Cuba, and then we get home at the start of labour day long weekend. Love it!

Had a mini shower today because some of FMIL’s family was in town, and we got so much stuff that we didn’t register for and have no room for/didn’t want. Argh. I feel bad complaining, but good lord, we registered at Target.

Dress:  Bought and in possession.  First fitting is at the end of June.

Bridesmaid Dresses:  Bought and in possession.  They need to make appointments for fittings.  They also need shoes.

Groom/Groomsman attire:  Everyone has been fitted and paid for their tuxes. 

Mother of the Bride dress:  Bought and in possession.  Fitting is at the end of June.

Mother of the Groom dress:  Bought and in possession.  Fitting TBD. 

Photographer:  Deposit paid

Videographer:  Deposit paid.

DJ:  Deposit paid.

Flowers:  Future Mother-In-Law is doing them for us.  She is flying in a week from Friday to go pick them out and order them. 

Officiant:  Done!  Our friend just got ordained on Friday. 

Ceremony:  Script has been written.  Memorial vase has been ordered.  I need to decide on music.

Marriage license:  Paid for and in possession.

Venue:  Booked and paid for except for final costs.   

Décor:  I think I have everything bought.  Just need to put a few things together.

Cake:  Paid for.  Just need to decide on design.

Wedding bands:  Bought, sized, and in our safe. 

Invitations:  Still working on the wording and font for them.

Hair:  Booked.  First hair trial on June 29th. 

Makeup:  Booked.  Need to set up trial appointment.

Hotel Block:  Done.  Guests have already started booking. 

Honeymoon:  Booked!!  We’re headed to St. Lucia two days after the wedding!!

Gifts:  Bought some for bridesmaids, groomsman, moms, and dads.  Just need to pick up a few more things.

Out of Town Bags:  Need to put together.

Favors:  Need to order.

Limo:  Need to book.

Programs:  Need to print and put together.  We have a groomsman whose father isn’t doing well so he may have to drop out of the wedding.  I have to wait until we find out for sure before I can finalize the programs.

Escort cards:  Need to finish.

Party:  Wedding Shower is on May 25th in Michigan.  Not sure when the Maryland will take place.  Also, not sure about bach parties.

Wedding specs: 70~ guests. Ceremony and reception in the same hotel. No traveling between locations

Dress: THIRD fitting during the first week in June.

Accessories: I have my shoes, and all of my jewelry and my veil.

Bridesmaids Dresses: Just arrived at the boutique 2 weeks ago. BMs need to make appointments for alterations.

Flowers: Floral plan has been finalized. Final payment going out in July!

Photographer: Final payment going out next week. Engagement photos were taken 2 weeks ago.

Officiant: Minister is booked for the date. No deposit needed as it’s free.

Catering: Included in the venue. Tasting will take place in June. I’m so excited!

Cake: FI and I need to choose a design that we like. We will talk flavors before scheduling the tasting.

Groom and Groomsmen attire: All done. Just need to do one more fitting.

Wedding rings: We have all of the rings and they all fit!

Venue: All of the decor has been finalized.

Wedding Paper: Invitations were mailed out today. Table numbers were received from the Etsy vendor today. I just need to order placecards once RSVPs start rolling in.

Decor: See “Venue”. All done!! 

Table/chair rental: Upgrading to chivari (sp?) chairs. No work on our end. 

Linen/Dinnerware: Included in the venue.

DJ/MC/Speakers/Music/Entertainment: Meeting with the DJ at the end of June to go over our musical selections.

Bartender: Open bar and bartender included in ithe venue.

Hair/Make-up: Appointments for hair and make-up trials have been made. I have the hair stylist and 2 make-up artists booked for the wedding. Just need to decide on which one to use.

Favors: Ordered favors months ago. We’re good to go!

Parties: Rehearsal dinner is booked at a nearby restaurant. It’s going to be really small.




Marriage licence: We picked it up on Friday!! YAY! In MD, the license doesn’t expire for 6 months.

Flight tickets: Fiance bought them for the honeymoon!

Gifts: Wedding party gifts have been bought. Still need to buy gifts for our parents.

Wedding night: Suite is included in our package and an additional night has been booked.

Virginia Wedding!

Dress: Done. Bought and getting altered in June!

B-maids Dresses: Done!  they’ve all had their gold glitter dresses since December!

MoB dress – Done! Got it two weeks ago, she loves it!

Flowers: Booked- paid deposit, paying the rest by aug 3

Photographer: booked, almost paid in full! $625 to go out of 3K!

Officiant: Done, free!! Already had our first pastor session

Catering: Booked! Deposit and some payKent’s paid. Payment due July 24

Cake: Booked! Looks and tastes amazing. deposit paid, the rest is due aug 24

Groom and Groomsmen attire: done! Black Calvin Klein fitted tuxes! 

Wedding rings: picked out. Ordering on June!

Venue: Booked exactly one year from my wedding date!  ceremony and reception are at the same place. paid in full

Wedding Paper: Save-the-dates – sent in jan/feb. I purchased invitations; addressing and mailing them mid June!

Decor: extravagant center pieces, floral/curly willow/ orchids/ hydrangea/roses, candles, mirrors, linens, chairs, purple uplighting for the entire reception ballroom, vases with marbles, the works! All booked and included with flower quote (wedding planning company)

DJ/Music/Entertainment: an amazing radio dj! Booked. Final payment due aug 24

MC/DoC/bartender/wait staff– Comes with the catering! Booked.

Hair/Make-up: Free! My SIL is a hairstylist who’s done my hair before and my Mary Kay consultant volunteered to do my wedding make up for free! My make up trial is this weekend.

Favors: done! small bags of candy in a cute Baggie with “thank you for sharing our day” stickers. Not investing too much $$ on favors. 

Parties: engagement party was jan 5, bridal shower is this weekend, bachelorette party is first weekend of August!
