Does anyone else have really prominent collar bones?
I really hate the way they look. My clavical sticks out quite a way its like my neck sits a lot further back from my collar bones and the top of my chest is quite flat. When i was younger I used to dress in halter necks to hide them. A lady I work with says it makes me took ill 🙁

I have always been a little too thin and my collar bones protrude. But people compliment my anerexic chic look. Seriously. It’s a bit disturbing. I’m glad I gained weight in my older age!

I am super critical of my body but this is one of the features I actually like! I’ve gotten envious compliments and I’m convinced it makes me look thin and graceful. At least it distracts from/offsets my wide shoulders!

thats a little weird ha!
I am on the thinner side but I am a healthy weight but my protruding bones make me look underweight when I am in fact in the healthy range.

ChocolateLime: I have a super prominent one as well and I agree with CakeSniffer: I kind of love it! I do always feel like I look more slender in photos.

I am by no means too thin but am rather boney in specific places – boney wrists and hands, prominent clavicles and sternum. I love how necklaces drape over my collar bones, for example. I love how dynamic the body is, and think the structure of bones is fascinating. So I like it, without trying to sound like a crazy person 🙂

ChocolateLime: I generally have quite prominent collar bones – the only time they looked ‘normal’ was when I was overweight. Now that I’ve lost 15lbs they stick out again. when I was younger and really thin they stuck out so much that the orthopedic surgeon I was seeing for knee issues asked when I’d broken my collar bone.

I guess I have always been a little self conscious about them. They still stuck out when I was 9 months pregnant and carrying a lot of excess weight. I guess I have to learn to love them
