I need help from the bees once again 🙂
I’ve always wanted a classic wedding ring like half-eternity wedding band (not eternity, so that I can resize it in the future if I need to). The wedding band that I got is pave setting, with “wall” on each sides.
The thing is, I didn’t bring my e-ring when we went ring shopping.
I attach the pic of my e-ring here for easy ref. The setting of the diamonds is prong setting, but with the prongs a little bit inward, so that there’s no “u” on the sides (the diamonds can’t be seen from the side. I hope you all get what I mean).
Yesterday when I went back to the jelwery shop, I compared the two and realized how different they look (my e-ring looks more dainty whereas my wedding band looks more structured/rigid because of the “wall”).
I don’t like the curved/wavy eternity ring or gap between my rings, so I’m planning to wear them on different hand (which is on weekends or when we go out, because I don’t want to wear my pearl e-ring to work).
Do you think they look alright when worn that way, or should I change my wedding band? (The jewelry shop will make a new ring for me; the one that I tried while shopping is just for display. They have not started the production so I still have time to change the design)

These are gorgeous! I would not change them especially if you are wearing them on different hands. I would personally still wear them together. Mine have a small gap between them but i am over that now and love them.
My enagement ring is a solitaire princess cut and my wedding band has diamonds on all three sides, 3/4 way round and they are circular diamonds. I like that they are both unique.
Love, love love your set x

@Figarro: I know what you men about wanting the styles to look similar & not wanting the gap. Those are two things I was sure about when we picked my band. It’s also why we went ahead and ordered the band with the Ering so they would be an exact match.
However, since you will be wearing them on different hands, I absolutly think the styles are close enough and will look great! Your rings are beautiful! Also, one of the things I learned when we were picking bands; is that the style like you chose, with the walls on the sides of the diamonds, actually stand up to wear and tear better. The walls protect the diamonds.

@all: Thank you for your kind words, I feel better about my rings. Perhaps I only need some reassurance, lol. So glad that I ask here 🙂
@M Starr: I guess it’s just a matter of time to feel used to to something. To be honest, in the beginning, I felt my pearl was too big for me, but now I feel its size is just fine 🙂
I’ve seen wedding bands like yours when shopping. I think they’re pretty, but too much bling for me :p
@KDOS: Yeah, I was in a rush that day and forgot to wear my ring 🙁 We have actually decided to get our wedding bands from other jewelrer. We went to this shop because we already made appointment weeks before. There, my Fiance like 1 of their rings better than our previous choice, so we decided to get from this jewelrer instead.
Yes, I agree with you, the walls is one of the reasons why I chose this ring, they make it suitable for everyday wear for a clumsy person like me

@Figarro: You should probably put up a poll. I am not a fan of the “wall” on your wedding band. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a gorgeous ring in its own right. However, I don’t think it goes with the fluid lines of your e-ring. Can you have a pave band made that matches your e-ring? It can be straight, but without the wall.

@Bazingau: I can’t add a poll anymore, the link to do so has expired 🙁
Yeah, that’s what I thought too. Customization can be done at a cost, I suppose, and I’m not sure we have the budget. The person who served us has her day off every Tuesday so I need to wait to find out.
But, from what I know, they only have a pave with walls or prong-set wedding band with the “u” on the sides (the diamonds can be seen from the side) – she showed me all collections of eternity rings that they have. On its own, I don’t prefer the later.
