dakotadeller:  I would do bezel bc i hate knocking my prongs on the train every day or on doors/caught in sleeves/etc. I’d love a little more security. Will most likely have it reset!

Bezel, bezel, bezel! – and I have a four prong solitaire (which I love).

I have a semi bezel, or half bezel as some say. It is could be the best of both world for you if you want. I prefer the first bezel with the more delicate setting. I do find bezel to be more practical for me on a daily basis. My first enagement ring was a prong and I lost a stone within the first few months so I’m a bit biased.

Well, I LOVE bezels, so that is my vote.

I have had pronged and bezeled rings, and my favourites have always been bezels. I just think they look so clean and streamlined, but they also are so nice and easy to wear – no catching or snagging, or worrying about getting the prongs checked and tightened. And more protective of a stone, as well! It is no coincidence that both the ring I wear as my wedding ring (which is my dream ring!) and my RHR have bezeled centre stones and sidestones.

I will note though that a 10mm cushion in a bezel is going to be huge! I had an 8mm round solitaire in an 18k yellow gold bezel and it sometimes seeemed a bit too big for me, and I wished I had gone smaller (yes, I know, a very unusual comment around here),
