hi! My engagement ring was handmade overseas and is two beautiful pear diamonds. My Fiancé picked it out all himself and I just adore it, it’s totally me! The only thing is we decided that the diamonds would be a lot safer in a bezel set, since I’m never planning to take it off and I’m pretty rough on my hands. I’be already taken it to the jeweler and I’ll get it back in a week but I’m so nervous that they will screw it up somehow… I’m probably just being paranoid but I’m worried it won’t be as sparkly, and that it won’t be set low enough for my preference. Crossing fingers it turns out perfectly!

Hey, I went from prong to bezel on my cushion and I love it so much. The main thing for me is it’s so comfortable to wear I actually wear it instead of it sitting in my ring dish getting dusty. It’s a sapphire and had diamond sidestones before and looked really sparkly in certain lights but I think it’s prettier now.

That’s awesome you can wear it more. It’s a very bold look! I’m going for more dainty, the sides of the ring are leaves coming together. The center of the ring is the 2 pears going sideways, so it’s a toi et moi. I love it but I’m worried if it’s not done with fine details it would take away the uniqueness of the original design which I don’t want. I love it as it is but want it a little safer

Congrats! Your bezel plan sounds beautiful, but understand your trepidation. Good bezels take a skilled bench. If you’ve done your research and are happy with the work of the jeweler you are working with, I’m sure they will do a good job for you. Please post before and after pics!
