@Kissed_by_lightning:  the beading consisted of a lot of sequins and smaller beads which I guess is kinda mandatory with the fabric.  I liked it.  It kinda gave a mother of pearl hue

That Ventura dress is gorgeous. I saw one on sale a few weeks ago on this board and thought it was to die for. It does look like a dress which would look best on some 6 ft tall model. So pretty

I went with their La Sposa line. Dress was originally $2300. I paid less for the sample. I tried other Pronovias and the fit was pretty good. Im petite but have larger hips

I wore the Pronovias Pergola. It was around $12-$1500 (can’t remember right now) and that was before alterations.

The gown is incredibly well made.

@SeeingDaisies:  Not super-shiny, that I recall. I’m not a fan of shiny fabrics, so I wouldn’t have picked it if it was noticeably so.

Pronovias is very popular. Are you going to order Pronovias? I want to buy this brand also. Just his prices are very high  🙁

I bought Pronovias Uncia and love it. I don’t have a picture of me in the gown, but in terms of price, the list price on my gown was $2640. Pronovias doesn’t allow salons to discount their dresses and they are pretty strict about it, so finding a place that would sell it for less was difficult. I ended up ordering it out-of-state from JaeHee bridal and have had a good experience. If you want more info on how I got the price down there, see this post: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/my-hunt-for-a-discount-on-a-pronovias-gown#axzz2YeM6N2NW

I really, really love Pronovias’s gowns. Having bought one though, the one thing that might have given me pause before purchasing, had I thought of it, is that the dresses are a light ivory or off-white color and so finding accessories hasn’t been easy. White veils are too white next to the dress and most ivory veils are too yellow looking. So, keep that in mind.
