I don’t have any advice for you in regard to which knock off company to use. But have you ever been on best destination wedding. They have a fabulous thread about knock offs! Its a good place to do your research before buying.

DON’T DO IT!!
I just ordered my dream dress through Jeff Liu and I was really excited because most of his reviews were good, but it has turned into a nightmare. I ordered a Vera Wang White Dress that cost about $1300 new at David’s Bridal. He charged me only $339.00. It took about a month to produce, but the shipping was fast and he provided a tracking number. When I got the dress the first thing I noticed was that the fabric was horrible!!! It was a shiny cheap material, but I thought maybe I could get over it, until I tried it on. To begin with, it was about two inches too big (I had heard that they ran big so I had purposely ordered an inch smaller than I needed, so I guess it really came three inches to big). The dress also had huge gaps in the fabric where entire layers of ruffles were missing and you could see the core of the dress. The ruffles that were there were barely attached. The seams were also completely obvious and ugly. What really set it over the edge was that once I took the dress off I noticed several spots of BLOOD on the dress that looked like someone had pricked themselves and tried to wipe it off. There were also several things randomly sewn into it: I found a couple of stickers (yes, like the children’s sticky paper ones) and some rocky type things that had been sewn in between the folds so I couldn’t get them out. After I demanded a partial $260 refund, he refused and I ended up having to threaten him repeatedly to end up with $200. I have posted pictures on other threads, take a look.

Have you considered buying used? I got a La Sposa dress for 500 that had been worn once. The seller bought it for 1300 (and spent a couple hundred on alterations, which meant the dress was already hemmed to my height) and only wore it once. She also had it professionally dry cleaned and preserved and you can’t even tell its been worn before. There are a LOT of used pronovias dresses out there for about half of what they normally retail for. If you are interested and have more questions about it let me know 🙂

Millysbridal has great reviews. They do wonderful work from what I hear.
I used dressilyme and they did an excellent job on my dress. If you scroll through the favorites on my profile you can see my review for them and other sellers.
Don’t use Aprils Bridal. I used them before dressiyme and it was the worst experience of my life and it was poorly made.
I have pics on my page. Just look through my favorites for the link. I have pics of the craftsmanship towards the end and it was a bad job. Also poor service.
I highly recommend other choices.
