@meljon: Have you tried websites like oncewed.com or preownedweddingdresses.com

That may be a way to find your dress at a lower price.

I tried on the Fantastica at the cheapest salon in town and it was around $1800.  I may have been able to bargain a little more off.  But I don’t know how much cheaper than than you are going to find unless it’s used or a replica.  Good luck though!

ask the seller for a lower price. i would never pay just $200 less than original for a used dress!

@meljon:  I liked how it looked on but I had a few issues with the dress itself which made it a no go for me.  The skirt looked a little too costumy for me, (like a flamenco dancer).  This is probably due to the “ribbon” that trims each layer of the skirt.  Also I thought the lace on the bodice looked somewhat disjointed from the fabric of the skirt.

These are my person issues though.  As a whole though, it looked wonderful on and was very flattering.
