I’m not too sure about this but as far as I understood, Pronovias dresses just come in standard sizes that are altered. In cases where there is detailing at the bottom of the dress (e.g. lace) I think they actually remove the lace, cut the hem to size, then reattach it, rather than pulling the dress up from a seam at the waist or whatever if there is one present. I’m not sure if you understand what I mean… I think the best bet would be to talk to your consultant in the dress shop and the actual person who will be doing your alterations if you’re worried. Good luck!

P.S. Aren’ts Pronovias dresses beautiful? I’m so happy to be a Pronovias bride too!!

I didn’t order Formentera but I did love it! (It was too heavy for my petite frame).  I was told by each place I went to with Pronovias that they do offer hollow to hem.  And with that dress, it is absolutely necessary so you do not loose any of the bottom.  It’s an extra cost of course but I dont think you should risk cutting off the bottom.  You might want to find another place that works with pronovias.

Good luck.

Pronovias doesn’t do hollow to hem but they do have different lengths that you can order the dresses in.

What is a hollow hem? I got the Formentera in March, but I’m not seeing the seamtress until july.

P.S love that dress.
