I have been looking at some Pronovias dresses online and was wondering how they fit? What are some of the Pronovias brides favorite things about the dresses? I’m specifically looking at style Fantastica from the spring 2011 (I think…) line. If anyone has tried this style on I would love to hear what you thought about it.

My gown is Pronovias and I pretty much love it. I tried on a few other Pronovias gowns too, and I found them very well made and classy/gorgeous. I know that there are other threads on Pronovias, so you should search the boards for other threads. I know there are pictures out there.

I have searched, but I wanted to know what made your dress stand out. Or if they are designed more for a certain body type than another. Or are the fabrics good quality?

I’m a Pronovias (Gaudi) bride with my wedding in less than 2 weeks, so I’m well acquainted with my dress…the look and construction are lovely, very dramatic and elegant. I tried on a few from the 2010 line when I was shopping and all were very flattering and great quality for the price point – biased (for obvious reasons) but would highly recommend!

I had a Pronovias dress (galante) for my wedding last month (EEK! can’t believe it was JUST last month). It fit very well, and I tried on a number of other Pronoviases and they were very flattering to my body. I’m curvy and I tried a number of mermaid style gowns.
My favorite thing about my dress (Pronoviases generally), was that it was different looking. It didn’t remind me of anyone else’s dress–at least anyone elses’ that wasnt pronovias.

I had a Pronovias gown too – and the quality is EXCELLENT. I looked at some other brands, but the construction, fabrics, etc. just were not as nice. I am smallish (5’3″ and a street size 2-4), and was firmly a size 10 in all the Pronovias gowns I tried on (like, it didn’t need altering at all to fit), so just be aware that they do run smaller than your regular clothing size.
One of my favorite things about my dress, which was a mermaid style, is that it was so well constructed, I didn’t need to wear anything under it. All I wore was undies, and they sewed in bra cups, so I was super comfortable all day/evening. And the dress wasn’t going anywhere – there was boning (not sure what it was made of), the fabrics are high quality, etc. It wasn’t too heavy either – just well made. Even the seamstress who hemmed it commented on it.

Thank you for the insight! I was just wondering because they look so nice, but the prices made me wonder.

I am wearing a Pronovias White One 411(aka La Sposa Fanal). I tried on a bunch of dresses, but this was a higher quality in my opinion. The fabric is def different than other satin dresses I tried on and the craftmanship is fantastic.
