Brides,
I’ve recently begun my initial dress search and have fallen in love with many of Pronovias dresses, including the Femina. When I saw the price at $1,875, I became even more excited (it appears to be much more expensive). I’ve weeks to wait for my appointment and I am very anxious (as we all are). I’ve been looking around and notice that I can’t seem to find little information on the material quality of the dress. I’ve only been able to find that the dress is made of catania satin, which means nothing!. I assume this is a fancy way of saying the dress is high end polyester.
Would brides please provide pictures and feedback on their Pronovias dresses and experiences? Please let me know if you think the fabric looks and feels to be of high quality. Does the material look excessively shiny or inexpensive in person? Any feedback you can give me on your recent Pronovias trials would be greatly appreciated!!!

I just wrote a similar thread! The one I like is Fantastica. I haven’t tried any on yet because the closest shop that carries them is about 180 miles away. The only response I received on my thread was that she loved hers and I should search the boards to find more information. Good luck with yours!

Pronovias dresses look and feel much more expensive in person in comparison to the price tag. In My Humble Opinion they are usually worth more than the retail price in comparison to other gowns. The materials and quality of the construction are amazing.

@KLP2010:
Thanks KLP2010. Did you end up purchasing a Pronovias dress for your soon to be wedding date?

It all depends on what line your purchase from… There are high end pronovias (hand maid in Spain) and lower end, kinda like cars!

This is my dress… it is silk and satin and one of the higher end gowns. I actually got charged more for alterations because of the weight of the material as well as how many layers it has.

Pronovias dresses are amazing – the store looks so ritzy so when I went in I expected dresses to be ALOT – I was suprised when the one I liked was only $1800 and I got 40% off. The quality and fabric are great. Here are some pics of mine!

I wore a Pronovias dress. I loved it! The silk and lace were high quality, definitely. I tried on a ton of Pronovias dresses and I thought they were well worth the price!

I tried on a dress with heavy satin and lace (Nereida) and the quality was stunning.

I bought a Pronovias dress and felt the quality to be a LOT better than a lot of other dresses I tried on, especially at the price. Mine is taffeta in a champagne vanilla colour, and I love it…a lot! It has a beautiful shine without being ‘shiny’ and the alencon applique is amazing. Can’t wait to wear it this friday!!!

I have a Manuel Mota by Pronovias dress and I think the quality is great. It’s a poly taffeta, but it’s nice and matte and not too shiny. The interior construction of the dress is also great. It’s got enough boning & an inner corset so that I can just wear a regular strapless bra & not a corset or spanx.

@lauren810c: You look phenomenal! This looks like a truly elegant affair too (I’m dying over your centerpieces!). The dress does look great in pictures, so that is reassuring!

I purchased the Pronovias Megan dress, it is gorgeous and extremely soft. If I had any complaint is that it was a bit heavy, but I’m getting married in May in Temecula, CA and that is the desert so it will be pretty chilly in the evening so I might appreciate the extra warmth of the dress. It was great quality and not too expensive at $1700!
I have enclosed a picture below.

I found my pronovias dress and fell in love with the fabric – raw silk. I then went to another shop and tried on dresses 3x as expensive, and I couldn’t help but compare the fabric to the much-nicer pronovias gown. I went back and bought it 🙂
