I haven’t got much experience in proofing invitations, but it looks good to me. And I loooove your design!

I would change:  request the pleasure of your presence to:  request the pleasure of your company (I think the double P with pleasure and presence is throwing me…. what about honor of your presence?)

I’d also suggest:  half past four… instead of half after four

Also – is the font size of the accept and decline different?  The deline seems lightly smaller to me – but it could just be my eyes!  I’d also make the dinner/dancing line a smaller font.

Have you thought of putting the year, or no?

@michiru4ever:  I really like the design of your invitations … That part looks great!

    I agree with oracle above:

    – Request the pleasure of your presence … I would probably just say “Request your presence” or, like oracle suggested, “Request the pleasure of your company

    – Half after four … I would also say “Half past four”

    – I would also make the dinner/dancing line a bit smaller

I’m no expert in proofing invitations, but I think these small changes would make the wording flow a bit better (and make them look even better than they already do).

Is there a reason you’re spelling “honour” the British way?

@oracle: Agreed. I would also put another one or two line spacing’s between the address and “DINNER AND DANCING TO FOLLOW” – as long as it doesn’t mess with your print margins

The actual invitations look super cute – love the blue and brown combination! 🙂

I agree with the pleasure of your presence sounding strange and that the last line is too big. Other than that it looks fine!

@oracle:   I was planning to make the same suggestions.  Smile

@michiru4ever:  whoops!  sorry to lead you astray on the time thing!

The only other thing I’d suggest is playing around with the font size and/or spacing so you could include the year.

Definitely half PAST four instead of half AFTER four.  Half after sounds really strange.
