Ohh! Well, overcast days in general are good for photography, and your picture is a proof of it! For me, I don’t wish ourselves a sunny warm day because I really don’t feel like sweating away..

It depends on the look you’re going for… your photographer also knows how to use artificial lighting and took the time to set up this shot. If you don’t hire someone who knows how to properly execute this kind of shot (and only the best do, mind you), or even if you have a talented photographer who can do it and you don’t give them enough time for setup in your schedule, an overcast day is going to mean flat boring photos for you.

Just thought I’d clarify because we love this kind of shot and know how to do it right, but brides very rarely give us enough time to set it up, or get frustrated with us and stress us out while we’re working on making it happen because they can’t see “the vision.” One critique…I love the shot but I do wish the light was more on your face (you would have just had to turn your head toward the light source) so your face wasn’t in the shadow so much… but that’s just me nit picking πŸ˜›

I use to work for a wedding photographer (I looked after the books) but occassionally when his assistant was away, I would be asked to help (only carry bags etc). He always said that overcast days were the best days to take photos and looking at the photos he took on those days, I would have to agree.

I really want a cloudy day. Not a windy, rainy day…but definitely an overcast, cloudy day!
