An uncle that I haven’t seen for about 8-10 yrs sent me and Darling Husband some money in a card that we received today. I’m not very good at writing thank you notes so I was hoping you guys could help me. I was thinking I could say something like this:
Dear (blank) and (blank)
Thank you so much for your gift! It is perfect as we are in the process of redecorating our bathroom. I hope everything is going well in (Blank place) and I hope to talk to you soon!
paigers91 and paigers91husband
I haven’t written a thank you note in a few years and honestly can’t remember how I wrote them back then.
Any help would be appreciated!
ETA: Oops! I didn’t mean to post this in beehive!

Looks good to me 🙂
I would maybe say “It is perfect as we are in the process of redecorating our bathroom and your generous gift will definitely help out!”
but that is really just a matter of preference and it is good either way.

@MapleCreekBride: Like what you added!

Looks great !!
I agree with @MapleCreekBride: add the “and your generous gift will definitely help out”
PS… I assume that this gift came in POST WEDDING and not before, otherwise, you probably have to go back to the Drawing Board and give a more general statement in regards to the house you’ll both be occupying once you are married.

@This Time Round: Yep, we are already married.
Thanks everyone! The gift was completely unexpected so it kind of caught me off guard when I got it in the mail today.
I may say decorating rather than redecorating just because I’m not sure if this person knew we lived together before we got married.
