Just have a question regarding addressing the envelopes for STDs. Do I put “and guest” on the envelope for STDs as well (I know I would do this for invitations). And what do you do when there are children/teenagers living with the parents? Also, what about adults living with their parents?

If you’re planning to later invite whole families, then you can address STDs that way: The Smith Family. That includes all dependents, including parents, who live at that address.
Don’t put +1s yet. In fact, it’s best to be very conservative about whom you do include in the STDs, because you can always extend invites further to include more people, including +1s, but it’s pure hell to retract them – and a lot can happen to your plans between now and the sending of the invitations!

Great advice! I’ll be sending my STDs out soon too…

@SimplyMrsC: For people that you intend to invite with a guest, I think its OK to just send the STD to the person, and only write ‘and guest’ on the actual invitation.

I agree! Great advice! I don’t know why I didn’t think of putting “The ___ Family” for everyone. Thanks!
