(Closed) proper etiquette on thanking hostess of bridal shower

@Callie_Starr:  For every shower I’ve hosted & been given a thank you gift, I received it at the shower itself. (There have been two for which I didn’t receive a thank you gift.) I think you should just get something that is to their liking and reflects the event. So, if you’re having a simple BBQ shower at someone’s house you could probably give a less expensive gift than a shower thrown at a catered event. 

Some things I’ve received were a beautiful cake stand, a 3 month subscription to a wine club, jewelry, a set of bath products…. basically girlie gifts they knew I’d like.

I’d get her wine and something super nice… Like my Maid/Matron of Honor does nail art on the side, so I got her that $30 OPI nailpolish that had real gold flakes in it!
