I’m confused. I have always been told that you should wear your wedding band on first then your engagement ring on top.
But it seems if you google, it’s the other way around? But yet, there are some articles that has the wedding band first.
A little help understanding more?

I was always told it is the order in which they were given. So engagement ring on first. Honestly no one cares though so do whatever you like best. Most days I only wear my wedding band!

Wedding band first (closer to your wrist… or “closer to the heart”) is more standard (in the US at least). But I feel like people should just wear their rings however they want!

Haha of course everyone can wear however they want, I’m just curious cos my friends was debating about it.

in general i see the wedding band on first with the engagement ring on top, but no one is going to stop you on the street to tell you you’re wearing your jewelry wrong. if you prefer the look of them the other way round, do you! 🙂

I like my wedding band and than my engagement ring

I more frequently see wedding band then engagement ring, but I’m thinking of switching them. My engagement ring is an heirloom, so it’s irreplaceable and I’m more concerned about losing it.

Well in the UK where I am from and in Aust where I now am, the tradition is ‘wedding ring closest to your heart’. I’ve always liked that .
I think it also stems from the days when women never took their wedding rings off and they were pretty much always plain metal without stones.

I prefer the look of wedding band “closest to the heart” and then my e-ring. I used to think I wanted the reverse order until I actually tried it, and it didn’t look good to me. I don’t think it much matters though, whichever way you prefer is fine!

Wedding band first! Though I know a couple of people who do ering first.

Also with the the wedding band first and e-ring second it makes a nice stack when you add a band next to e-ring.

I’ve always gone by wedding band goes on first.. closest to the heart.

IDK about proper, but I’ve always heard the same as PPs – wedding band closest to heart and e-ring after. It looks wrong to me when I see the e-ring first lol.
