I was lucky enough to be asked on a beach at sunset……..in sunny Scotland UK! (Was very romantic, despite being super cold) I cried like an idiot. He had to ask me again to make sure it was a ‘yes’ cry, and not an ‘oh god how do i say no’ cry haha.
We where on a weeks get away with his family, who all knew, and when we got back to our cottage they had planned a tiny party with bubbly, music and many hugs. it was PERFECT. (And a good job i said yes really, of the party poppers would have gone to waste!)
My ring is everything i could have asked for and more… here’s a few sneaky photos…
How did it happen for you….and what does you’re ring look like? I’m feeling nosey and romantic 😉 x

We had planned a trip to my old college town (Texas A&M) to visit his cousin. All my friends knew I had always dreamed of having an elaborate “Aggie” proposal, but once I started dating Darling Husband I kind of let that go because he went to a rival school (University of Texas). While there he asked me to take him on a tour of the campus because he’s never really walked around it. We got to the “Century Tree” I got all hesitant and told him “we can’t just walk under the Century Tree, it’s a big deal.” For some background this is a big grandiose tree on the campus where a lot of engagements happen and there’s a myth that whomever you walk under the tree with you will end up with forever. Right as we were walking under it he “dropped my sweater” and bent down to pick it up. While down there he grabbed my hand and looked up at me. I was actually upset at first because I thought he was messing with me. But once he started talking and saying all these wonderful things I started to freak out and cry and was doing my best to listen to him. He pulled out the ring and it was beautiful! I said yes! And then he asked if we could go to the church I went to all throughout college to pray together (my heart a little bit melted). Later that evening he surprised me with all my friends and family at a dance hall where we first met. It was so perfect!
