@futuremrsk18:  Nope, no demands.  I was, as you put it, “rocking a tshirt with no bra.”  I was on the couch in my jammies with soaking hair because I’d just showered.  No makeup, no manicure, no photographer.  He got down on one knee (def wanted this but didn’t specifically ask for it), and it was just us two (didn’t want something public but he knows me well enough to know that!).  We had a romantic weekend away to Palm Springs planned for the following week, and that’s where he was planning on proposing, but later he said as soon as he had picked up the ring from the jeweler’s, he “just couldn’t wait.”  Perfect.

I don’t have any demands but I know about the time it will be between that he will propose so I’ve made it a misson to keep my nails painted a pretty nude color and neat. Knowing him though he would do it after we’ve been running or rock climbing and I’m filthy lol

When Fiance proposed, I was sweaty, wearing a bathing suit top with grubby teeshirt over it, no makeup, messy hair, dirt-caked nails and no manicure. And I couldn’t be happier. I definitely wouldn’t worry about the slimming down business. That’s what engagement photos are for.

Just enjoy the moment…no matter when it comes – whether you’re “dressed” for it or not.  When my Fiance proposed, I was wearnig a shirt I thought I’d wear one last time before I put it in the goodwill bag, I had a rash on my hands (eczema from the waiting anxiety), and thank goodness no one took photos because my eyes showed the lack of sleep from the week…but I’m sure they brightened after he got down on one knee. 🙂  I also paid more attention to HIM than the beautiful ring and just embraced the special moment between the two of us.

I literally had the same demands. The secret photographer didn’t work out, but that’s because we were on vacation in West Palm Beach, on the beach at night, in the moonlight. The memory of that is much better than having pictures in my home town in Louisiana. Lol

I’ve made a couple requests.

1. No proposing around my (awkward) family.

2. He has to have a ring.

3. I have to be dressed somewhat nicely.

Other than those it doesn’t matter, I just want to marry him!

I didn’t have any demands because I didn’t know it was coming! I had said a couple times that I wanted to marry him someday, but it had never been thoroughly discussed.

I had on little to no makeup and was in a friend’s oversized hoodie. He had no ring, but I wouldn’t change a thing because it was from the heart and he’s perfect for me.

My only demand is no nickel alloy rings. Because then I’d turn into Gollum tied up with elvish rope, and no one wants ‘It hurts us, it hurts us, precious’ during a romantic moment.

Mine was that he ask me – sometime – preferably before pension age.  Luckily he listened.

My demands were – not in public and he had to get down on one knee.

Check and Check, in the kitchen, in our pjs.

No makeup, no brushed hair… not even in cute pjs!

I don’t have pictures of the proposal, but I don’t need them.  I’ll always remember it, including me getting down on my own knees and forgetting to say yes [=

(I wouldn’t have said no, even if he’d done it in front of a million people though)

I didn’t demand anything but I did request that it not be in a crowded public place or in front of our families.

He keeps saying Christmas morning as a decoy, but I kindly requested that it be any time after I have brushed my teeth for the morning so we can kiss with no morning breath! haha
