@alotlikelove:  That story annoyed me. Typical entitled foreigner abroad, ‘your yacht is obscuring my sunset so ill just untie it and push it away. in other articles they claim he didnt in fact help the man tie it back up, he just left it and the police arrived

newsflash – yachts are expensive. if you mess with them ANYWHERE in the world the police will come. and yes, mexican police happen to be armed

The hotel has since offered to host their wedding for free and give them a complimentary two-week stay. Houston said they are considering it.”

so, act like a petulant child, mess with someone elses property and get free stuff? sigh.

Yeah.  Wow.  They were jerks, and get a free wedding out of the deal?  Guess Darling Husband did my proposal all wrong!

How on earth did they end up with a complimentary wedding and 2-week in a resort offer for being thoughtless foreigners? This story annoyed me too ๐Ÿ™
My sunset proposal was obscured by clouds but it was still perfect!

Eh, they did realize they had done something wrong. Or at least the guy did. I think it’s funny it was the girl who suggested pushing the yacht away from the pier. That just sounds incredibly immature.

It’s pretty amazing that he was able to find the ring in the end.

Regardless of how they acted, the hotel did screw up the proposal after promising to set things up a certain way, so I can see why they might feel obligated to offer some kind of compensation.

Never in my life would I do something like that to anyone in any country! The fact they acted on the thought of pushing a yacht away is beyond me. They should never have gotten rewarded for that!

I hate this couple. Why did the resort offer to pay for their wedding? Ugh.

I sure hope the hotel isn’t actually financing the wedding…maybe just giving them free rooms or covering the ceremony fee.

Wow, what wankers. These two suit each other.
