The first one gets my vote. I’m a sucker for nude coloured nails and the is just perfect! 🙂

If my proposal comes when I’m hoping it will (late next week), these will be my proposal nails. Its OPI Gel Kyoto Pearl. When I got this color, I looked at all the nudes everyone suggests & they just weren’t me. So I chose this! If it takes any longer though, I’ll have to pick a different color for my proposal though! Haha

I prefer the 1st one. I see that picture on pinterest often i believe and I fall in love everytime I see it.

I wouldn’t call any of those “timeless” — I’d probably go for the last one (but without the accent nail) myself, but I have a pretty simple no-frills style.

First or last. Although, just FYI, from looking at tons (and I mean tons) of ring pics online, what I’ve noticed is that rings look best with darker colors with blue undertones. Seems to make the diamonds pop the most. Good luck! I’m in the constantly-keeping-my-nails-painted-while-waiting-for-proposal stage as well!

Lollipop191:  My thoughts exactly.. I had a really pretty blue on before this (OPIgel This Colors Making Waves), so this is a big change! I like fun colors but for proposal purposes, I went classy.

I would go with a classic natural French manicure, or a nude /pinky colour – I’m not a fan of accent nails really .. I’m all for nudes and makes the engagement ring pop 🙂

Agree with GridMonster, I would do the last one without the accent nail.

I like the first one or the last, but I don’t like the accent nail on the last. If you really want something you could use a paler gold glitter to fill the while nail – I don’t like how it’s glittery and geometric.

That said, I know this is just a bit of fun, but please don’t stress over what your nails are going to look like when your man proposes. Unless you have been told the exact day, then hopefully he gets you by surprise. And I would hate that in that moment you think “but I didn’t have time to get my nails done”. My nails had nothing on them but some paint splotches from painting my mother’s house the day before (I couldn’t wash it off and hadn’t been to the nail salon yet) – and I didn’t care at all!
