I was horribly unprepared when the time came.

I’m usually all about having my nails done, being put together… especially during the time when I suspected a proposal was coming. When he proposed, though I came walking out of the bathroom with chipped nails, no pants on, and a pair of his socks pulled up over my knees. I believe I said, “I’m really ashamed at how hairy my legs are right now!”. When I looked up he was on one knee. Oops.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who does this! I set aside time every Thursday night to do my nails, and if we’re going anywhere that could even remotely be a proposal setting, I plan clothes and hair accordingly! I am POSITIVE that because of my efforts, he is somehow going to catch me  with chipped nail polish, a stained t-shirt, and no make-up.

this is too funny, just be yourself! I wouldn’t get all crazy about it. It will happen when it does, weaing a fancy dress or a sweat  pants. It shouldn’t matter 🙂

Glad to know I’m not the only one! 😀

My boyfriend and I are currently long distance but whenever I see him I always have my hair and makeup done anyway. I recently started getting gel manicures since I love the way they look and how long they last, plus it doesn’t hurt to pay some extra attention to my nails for the next few months…

All of these responses are so funny, and I am guilty about this too! Mine has been kind of long-term prepping since I’m like 98% positive it will happen on our beach vacay in 2 1/2 weeks. I NEVER buy things for myself and about 2 months ago I totally splurged on a summer wardrobe, swimsuits, cute shoes, making sure my hair is done, getting a $30 spray tan (HA!),  and I definitely must do something about these nails either before we go or when we get to Florida. Probably when we get there because my friend who lives there is my mani partner! Lol  So wherever I am, I will definitely be looking fabulous for some photo ops, haha!! I mean what is a girl to do, we have to look good during one of the most wonderful moments in our lives!

I was laughing at myself over the weekend! I don’t often do my nails; long nails annoy me so I keep my nails short. I usually only brush them every day (twice sometimes – have an issue with dirty nails and with my job it’s kind of standard) and cut once a week. I have very strong nails that grow at an amazing rate! Anyway, I prefer the natural look but on Saturday I decided to paint clear nail varnish with glitter in on my nails, and caught myself looking at left hand wondering what color if any would look good with the wedding dress I plan on making! We are only talking about getting married! LOL!!!

I don’t do much on myself on day to day basis – no make up, no nails, no hairstyles or even colour

Only thing I do is my outfits and I guess make up would be drawing eyebrows sometimes (because I have none T^T)

So I wouldn’t really be doing much prepping I guess. Just some eyebrows, and wearing dresses or a tee and jeans when I’m with him as I always do. But I’ve told him I like simple and intimate proposals, even just us eating waffles in sleeping clothes on a couch would make me very happy. (those somehow makes me feel its very sweet and simple)

I never thought I’d be one to “prep” for the proposal, but I totally had a feeling it was going to happen, so I made sure my nails were done the night before. We had plans to go out of town that day so I was going to get a little dolled up regardless, but the nails were an added extra haha.
