My husband and I never did an engagement shoot so we will be having a 1 hour “love” shoot (like engagement type photos).
I found a girl who is building her profile through craigslist so she isnt charging us anything for the shoot. However she did ask us to bring props..
What kind of props did you use, or what does everyone reccommend?
Also, she isnt charging us anything … should I tip her the day of, tip her when she gives us the cd-rom, tip her at all? if so, how much!?

I would give her a tip the day of.
Blanket and/or picnic basket?
Sporting good stuff (fishing pole, etc)?

We used our favorite books and I carried a red hat (and wore it in a few) shots, and it turned out really well with my gray dress. I’m getting the cd this week, though, so I can’t post them yet 🙁

bunting or letters that spell out ‘love’ or your wedding date or initials, you can get at a craft store.

Oh, I should have added sunglasses, especially for your SO. Fiance really wished he would have brought his Oakleys, but we didn’t think about it. I would just bring things that represent you two as a couple and your interests.

Thank you everyone!!
such good ideas, keep them coming!

What about cupcakes (I’m going by your avatar), big lollipops, or pinwheels for a fun touch? Also, depending on where you shoot, maybe props can come from the actual setting?

I’d bring a cozy picnic blanket, food or snacks, champagne glasses (with real champagne or other alternative), favorite books, desserts, hobbies (cameras, knitting, sports), cool hats, alma mater gear. to go even more in depth: chandelier to hang from tree, table w/table cloth, candle sticks, pillows, strawberries etc.

I had a friend who used a letter ‘I,’ a heart, and a letter ‘U.’ It was super cute. The heart was open in the middle and they kissed with it framing their faces.
