So, Ladies and Germs. If there are any germs even learking around on here. Anywho. If you have taken a quick peek at my other posts, threads.. or whatever you’d like to call them, you would know I was planning to propose to my boyfriend on Christmas day. Let me start of by saying I am a HUGE Christmas buff, tree up and shopping done in early November, already all wrapped, Christmas buff. So when I came up with the idea to propose, all I could keep saying is, “I can’t wait for you to open your presents blah blah blah mouth diarrhea.” He would always try to trick me into telling him what I got him as well, that butthole. But apparently he went shopping sometime, when, I have no idea, and is ranting and raving about something he got for me, that wasn’t on my list.
Apparently we are both far too impatient, or far too excited, maybe both, about giving eachother our surprises. We decided we would exchange them when I got home that morning from work. Although I did get out early, not early enough to hide everything and actually enjoy the moment before he left for work at 5 am. That gave me enough time to tidy up, light some candlde, and mentally prepare. And by mentally prepare, I mean get myself so nervous I poop myself like a little baby chick. When I get nervous, I poop a lot. Sorry you had to hear that. But, it shows how NERVOUSLY EXCITED I AM!
I have all the clues hidden, I created a pirate themed scavenger hunt for him, and once completed he will find a chained up treasure chest ring box, asking me to marry him in sparkly letters inside.
His first clue is tucked inside that box, throwing him off. He was tricked to believe had a present is resting inside that box. Which, if he decided to shake, sniff, or what have you, while I wasn’t around, would feel completely empty. That’s because it is, other than a tiny notecard with a sand pattern. Our tree has a pirate hat instead of a star, to keep with my theme. 🙂
His first clue from the box, telling him he has to search, leads him to “Where the kitties burry their special treasures. Rest assured I dumped the litter liner bag, the litter, and vaccuumed that area REALLY well before I hid that there. I thought that was too clever not to do, poopy infested or not.
Steven’s favorite liquor of choice is Captian Morgan, and instead of asking if we wanted a drink, he would ask me if I’d like to “sail the seas” with him. The clue that led him here told him to look where we first “sailed the seas” together, which was out on his back patio. Although the weather is nice today, I didn’t want to actualyl hide it outside. My luck some rabid animal, or kid, or whatever, would run away with my clue for god only knows what reason. Oh, and Luca was being her attention whore self, she says hi to all the beautiful bees out there.
The last clue led him to a “spiked sea monster.” That monster, being our spiked baby aquatic turtle, cleverly named Spike. I tried to get a nice picture og him for everyone, but he was too busy dancing and being a turtle and such. Maybe some other time.
The last clue led him to a “refreshing sea mist.” Although it is not exactly refreshing for our young little evil cats who would litterally eat themselves if possible, and would climb the ceiling if they could, hopefully he will figure it out. I left that one a little more visibe incase he can’t quite solve that riddle.
This is his “pirate crew” that the last clue led him to, and that hides the last clue. Surprisingly, this is his little collection. Only thing that is mine is the elepant, Elphanz, who had to ask permission to join the crew. The hat on domo is actually on our tree, poor guy looked naked without it so I put it back on just for this shot.
Freezer? I know. Strange. But I wanted to incorporate our first date, without dragging him to Rita’s. That isn’t romantic, and I like the charm of our decorated and yummy holiday scented apartment. So, the clue leads him to “frigid temperatures that keep ice cream cold, like on our first date.” Quirky, but it brings us back to when we first met. Yes, I know we need to grab some more food. Looks a little empty in there.
I have a personal love letter written out that will be presented with the box. Picture and story once he gets home. He is on his way now, just picking up some batteries for his back thereapy electro pack, then the festivities begin!
