hmmm.  I do think there should be a little continuity there, and those are very different.  BUT on the other hand- who cares! Its your wedding and if thats what will make it joyful and memorable to YOU and your husband to be, do it!

We’re doing more modern songs as well.  I love it!

I think the idea of a fun recessional is great.  In previous posts some of the bees had really great ideas for using upbeat, contemporary songs for the recessional.  It is kind of a drastic transition from the really traditional processional.  What music were you thinking of having during the ceremony, if any?

I will more then likely be walking in to Cannon in D – and I will be walking out to Here Comes The Sun by the Beatles. I think as long as it’s you that’s all that matters!!!!

I love Jack Johnson! It’s okay if it doesn’t go with the Processional song.

It’s totally fine to have your recessional song be something fun. It’s actually quite common. Who wants stodgy just after you’ve been married!? People should GET EXCITED!!! It’s COCKTAIL TIME!!!!

I found a version of Better Together on iTunes that’s toned down a little…  that may work for you.     It’s from an album called Hawaiian Slack Key Rings.  There are also some Karaoke versions…  and one on an album called The Hawaiian Tribute to Jack Johnson that is just instrumentals.

We are using an instramental of Big & Rich’s "This Moment’ (The full version will be our first dance song) for our processional and we haven’t decided on the recessionional.  We want something joyful but not too fast.

Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer, and Yo Yo Ma’s Appalachian Waltz for the processional–they make incredible music together and it’s a perfect fit for our Appalachia wedding.  The CD is incredible if you’ve never heard it.
