somethingabitdifferent :  Did you get tracking on the package? Flora told me the ring shipped yesterday but when I asked for tracking this morning she indicated that they had been in training and my ring would ship tomorrow.  Not sure how long DHL takes from China but I am NOT holding my breath that it will make it here next week 🙁

cicix3 :  so I spoke to Elva about this… basically when employees take leave or go on vacation they cover for one another.  Thats all. All are real employees but sometimes one has to take over another’s account for an amount of time. Dont tell them I told you. Lol she was worried that would upset yall.. but I think she really is worried about the reddit crowd. They are harsh af. Anyway they all do it from time to time. It makes total sense to me just from a business perspective. 🤷‍♀️

somethingabitdifferent :   nemi :  I dont know where you all are located, but I’m in Virginia, USA & it takes ~3 days after I get the tracking number from Elva for my pieces to arrive. She sent it to me on Tuesday this week and now it’s Friday & it’s set to arrive today. Same last time. I got the tracking number for DHL on either Saturday or Sunday I believe and got my pieces on Wednedsay.

youmaysayimadreamer :  That makes sense!  I started with who I thought was Flora and she said her name was Elva when we took the conversation from instagram to whatspp, I initially thought hmm that is weird cause the instagram said Flora.  THEN  when I messaged her at one point and said Elva she said no I am Flora!  Confused the heck out of me but she said Elva was covering her  one day but that it was her (Flora’s) account. I think it would have been nice if they stated this from the begining as to not confuse us all!  LOL I also think she told me we are the “same”  she was just truly meaning that they all work for Provence.

nemi :  Yeah for sure. There’s so many odd gaps in communication style just because of our language barriers. lol So yeah, they are all individuals but all do the same job for the same company. 🙂

I’d just recommend to anyone reading this, to just use the same means of communication you have been if you’re satisfied with who ya got.

I got quotes today for my setting! I decided on a classic Tiffany inspired solitaire. I just keep wavering between platinum and gold. I don’t own anyting platinum and I really just like the weight of it, not how it patinas, but I also have platinum FOMO lol. Hellllllp

dracarys :  First thing my mind goes toward is will it rub on a white gold band? If not, go for platinum!!

youmaysayimadreamer :  My band is 10k white gold. I’d like a different one in the future, but that won’t be for a minute. I thought I was starting an allergic reaction to gold since the webbing of skin on each side of my ring finger was all dry and flaking, but I think it was just the winter being unkind to my skin because it’s fine now.

I’m not in love with how platinum looks when it starts the patina process, but I loved how substantial it felt.

Well I’m bummed. 🙁 My ring doesn’t fit and the stones are all loose & rattling around. I messaged Elva. Just waiting to see what she says when she gets up tonight. I have no clue what to expect with this kind of problem from an overseas company.

My necklace is great though! It was tangled up when it arrived, though, so that was a nerve-racking few minutes.

Both pieces are really beautiful. I love the cuts of these OECs and the ring is really nice looking, just not the right size (fits like a 6 or 5.75; not 4.75) & stones are not secure. Lame.

youmaysayimadreamer :  Oh no!! That sucks. I hope she can get it sorted out, but yeah, something looks off with the ring.

youmaysayimadreamer :  I love your necklace and your three stone ring is pretty, it sucks that it’s not the right size and the stones are wiggly. Hopefully Elva can sort that out!

I have a question! Does all OEC have that little circle in the center? Is it because of the cut? It bugs me when I see a definite little circle in the center of a stone. Is it how it’s supposed to be?
