It’s heeere !! I’ll take better photos tomorrow. I am so not a fan of white gold it reminds me of silver. I prefer the grey contrast of platinum I think. It’s a beautiful ring well made but feels HUGE. I’ll have to wear it around to get used to it.

somethingabitdifferent :  That looks beautiful!!!!

Just wanted to update you all. Elva assures me that it was checked and double checked for size accuracy before they shipped it out. She asked me to go to a jeweler to confirm that it is indeed not 4.75. I am going to do that this afternoon if I get a chance on my lunch break. ๐Ÿ˜

She also responded that the looseness of the stones is due to the type of setting. ๐Ÿ˜ also not cool.

She said if the ring is an incorrect size then I can return it. ๐Ÿ™ I’m going to get quotes from a couple local jewelers to have the prongs tightened and resize the ring. I don’t want to give it back I just wanted it to fit and be made right. Idk. We will see what happens.

If I do return the ring, I might just see if I can use the $ towards the 3 stone radiant. lol or some bands. Idk. I don’t want to give up on Provence because they’re 3 for 4 right now in quality pieces I’ve received. I’m just bummed about this ring. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be!

Hi all! If you’re on r/Moissanite you may have seen a few of my posts over there, but I decided to hop over here and share my CAD with you all.

I’m working with Flora and she has been really patient and responsive! Aside from a few minor hiccups, she got my vision just right and I can’t wait to receive my ring! Bummer that my boyfriend doesn’t want me to see it in person until he’s proposed, but I don’t think he’ll wait too long. ๐Ÿ™‚

I will update when I get any more pics or videos- they should be cutting my stone soon and Flora offered to send a video of it before it’s set. I’m happy to answer any questions!

youmaysayimadreamer :  Hoping it can be tightened up and fixed here.  Maybe you could negtiate a credit with Provence for the cost of your repairs here towards a future project?  I agree, we have had lots of successful projects with great prices.  I keep telling myself if I DO get that “one-off” ring in the future that has some issues I will be patient and just accept it or fix it here.  I also have decided I am going to be careful about the designs I ask them to do.  Yours was simple and elegant, but I can see that it might not have been made substantial enough to hold the stones, hence the  rattling stones.  Your ring is so pretty, I hope this is resolved for you very soon!

Pinky58 :  thanks you’re right. With the deals we are getting it is something to consider when or if it doesn’t come out perfect. I’m a realist at least. Lol

So another update, Elva offered for me to send it back and they will fix it. I did go to a jeweler and have them quote me for tightening and check the size. It is a full half size too large, hence the spinning. I usually wear a size 5 on my right hand ring finger and that’s why I asked for 4.75 so it would be snug and not spinny. With a 3 stone you cant really get away with a sideways ring.

Anyway I sent Elva the photo and she said if I can cover shipping (she said it should be around $25-30) they will credit it on my next project.

Have any of you tried to ship something to China?

youmaysayimadreamer :  I know another bee not on this thread has and it was pretty nerve wracking for her. Once it leaves the States there’s no tracking it. This was pretty early on when the Chinese vendors were just becoming popular here, so I’m not sure if shipping there has improved or not. What a pain!

youmaysayimadreamer :  ahhhh that sucks. I was literally thinking of having your exact ring made! Hopefully you can get it fixed and have it maintain its beauty! Good luck and keep us posted!

youmaysayimadreamer :  sorry for this hassle!  I actually have Flora ship everything to me FedEx because it’s most reliable to where I live. I would think you could ship back to them via FedEx as well. I always get my ring within 3 days and can track it every step of the way. It may cost a little extra but certainly worth the peace of mind. I can’t think of any reason you couldn’t ship back exactly like they ship to us. I know I’d definitely pay for FedEx if at all possible. Good luck and keep us posted

youmaysayimadreamer :

Thank you. I’m not 100% sure if I love it. I do think it’s really pretty but I’m hoping it will look even better in person. I definitely do love the stone though.

Also wanted to add I hope your issues with your ring get worked out. I really like the oec stones. I’ve only purchased from oec stones from starsgems but I’m thinking about doing a bezel pendant with Provence.

zeldabee :  I think they did a fair job with it! You have to consider your inspiration ring is from CvB and their finished touches are beyond an average vendor, IMO. The milgrain is more course in this band. That is the same thing with SG unless you truly emphasize *fine milgrain* (I had to describe it as 6 beads to each 2mm stone) to get what I wanted. It’s a tricky feature to ask for but I think overall the ring looks good!!

I think once you get it and let the rhodium white tone down a little with daily wear you’ll be pleasantly surprised with how it looks. That criss cut is very pretty and white in the ring!!
